A New Beginning
After all the build up the time has finally come. Tomorrow at 7:55AM I leave on a grand adventure filled with mystery, intrigue, action and suspense. I hope to make this blog as exciting as my actual experiences, and if not, I'll just make a lot of stuff up to keep you guys entertained! To all of those out there that check this blog, I shall miss you dearly and hold you in my heart throughout the duration of my sojourn. Feel free to comment often and let me know the ongoings in your life. LET THE EXTRAVAGANZA BEGIN!!!

Michael - Hope the flight went well. Have fun getting settled in. Oh, and be sure not to mention anything about President Hu in your blog so you don't get censored. ;-) Talk to you later.
Michael-This blog hasn't changed in 2 days. What have you been doing with your time? Sure, it took 19Hrs to get from Seattle to Shanghai and you only had about 2 hours of sleep the night before and you needed to get settled into your new living quarters, but what else are you doing? Seriously, I hope you're well and somewhat rested. We miss you!
Three fires in New Mexico that I was on, June 6-24:
Clayton Fire, 387 acres.
Brushy WFU Fire, 1000 acres.
Wilson WFU Fire (Division "Lima"), 1900 acres.
Exciting things happened. Got hit with retardant pretty hard, had a tree hit me (juniper), and saw 200 ft. flames during a burnout operationon the Brushy fire. Other than that, I am exceeding the expectations of my superiors and peers, and working my ASS OFF.
HOW are things going there, and PLEASE PUT A MAILING ADDRESS UP ON THIS SITE!!! Would love to send you letters, as I have no doubt you'd love to hear from home, or well, something near it. Until then, I remain,
